It is traditionally made of wood but now modern materials are sometimes used-i.e Metal.
Use of a mandap is an ancient custom.Modern mandaps use fabrics, lights, crystals and flowers.
Below is how we manufactured this- the tube bending was undertaken by a specialist tube bending firm.We actually made two Mandaps-one large one for a stage area, and one smaller Mandap for the entrance. Also some lotus petals.

All ready!
Bent metal tubes as they arrived in the workshop-these had to be cut to size by ourselves.
All internal bending radii calculated by ourselves for the bending company.
